When Collin’s longtime fly rod, one he’d had since childhood, finally broke, we found ourselves stopping into the Fly Shop of the Bighorns in Sheridan, Wyoming. As someone who was still new to fly fishing, I had no idea what I should be looking for in my very first rod. We left that day with two custom rods built by Mark Torbert, and it didn’t take long to realize we’d made the right decision.

Since then, those rods have been fished hard. They’ve been bounced around in the van, hiked into backcountry streams, and used on rivers and creeks all across the West, the Southwest, and now the Great North. They continue to perform flawlessly and have held up to everything we’ve thrown at them.
